My name is Cinzia Mastropaolo, but many people know me by the name Osvalda,

and others call me Pow-how.

Osvalda is a character in my book “Disobeying the clan” for which I also designed the cover.

And it is the pseudonym I used to publish the book, with the addition of the surname “De Pauau” ( the exact pronunciation of Pow-how)

All of this, which in appearance seems like chaos, in reality has a very linear and deep meaning: it belongs to the world of symbols and meanings. “La Osvalda” is a modern and informal woman, who smiles at life and is light-hearted, ironic and free, and who flies towards better horizons every time life and circumstances, accidents and vicissitudes threaten to immobilise her and make her a prisoner of pain, whims, and hitches, practically everything life can have in store for human beings.
